I live and write in Morrisville, North Carolina, one of the fastest growing communities in the United States, and most notable for its crisp, Carolina-blue skies and orange construction cones dotting the roadways.

I moved to North Carolina from Marietta, Georgia, to go to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a degree in journalism in 1994. After working in education public relations for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and healthcare public relations for Raleigh Community Hospital (now Duke Raleigh Hospital) and WakeMed, I chose to stay home with my two children.

Since then, I have continued to write, both personally and professionally.

My freelance writing work has included writing physician newsletters and medical manufacturer newsletters, copy for air charter and legal consulting websites, health articles for magazines and feature articles for The Cary News and The Raleigh News & Observer.
